UA&P CDE Center Kinder graduates reach new heights
On May 30, UA&P celebrated its littlest dragons and biggest dreamers. The Child Development and Education Center (CDE Center) held a graduation ceremony for its Kinder graduates, while also acknowledging the unique strengths and growth of its Nursery and Pre-Kinder finishers.
The students showed off their communication skills and independence by leading the opening segments of the program. Mikhail Miranda led the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, while Rocco Concepcion and Milagros Chan led the opening prayer. The program was brought to life by vibrant performances such as Life is a Highway by the Nursery Tinkerers, Don’t Stop Me Now by the Pre-Kinder AM Class, and Reach by the Pre-Kinder PM Class. The graduates, themselves, also took to the stage with performances of Dancing With Myself/Dancing With My Mistakes from the Kinder AM Class, and Show the World from the Kinder PM Class.
The Kinder graduates each had a chance to march on stage to receive their diplomas and School of Education becas. The awards were presented by Dr. Ernie Grio, Dean of the School of Education and Human Development, and by Teacher Mel Garcia, Director of the CDE Center.
The ceremony also highlighted the contributions of 4th-year Bachelor of Early Childhood Education students who completed their student-teaching internship at the CDE Center. Belle Cordero, Nicole Gonzales, Gabbie de la Cruz, and Lui Clavecillas capped off their program by applying their learnings and creating a meaningful impact in preschool classrooms.
Iam Mejos, one of the bright-eyed Kinder graduates, shared a testimony about his experience within the CDE Center community: “Salamat din sa aking mga kaibigan dahil malaki ang ating nagagawa kapag pinagsasama natin ang mga plano natin at nagtutulungan tayo. Nakagawa tayo ng sarili nating komunidad, sarili nating mga kuwento, at sarili nating mga mundo.”
Mrs. Karla and Mr. Ace Lozano, parents of two CDE Center graduates, shared that they chose the school because they were “confident that the quality of education and formation would be excellent because of the dedicated administrators and teachers, many of whom were also UA&P graduates. More importantly, we knew our children would receive the same holistic care and formation that UA&P has always espoused”.
The students gathered on stage again to conclude the ceremony with a performance of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, while the Discovery Crew gave a final farewell with a rendition of Hasta Luego.
The CDE Center Graduation Ceremony commemorated the growth and development of UA&P’s youngest students, who are now ready to blaze their own trails.
