May Jesus watch over all of you working at the University of Asia and the Pacific and over your families!
I am writing to you on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the University, to unite myself to your joy and to your acts of thanksgiving to the Blessed Trinity for the gifts that God has granted you over these years, ever since the beginnings of the Center for Research and Communication back in 1967.
I am praying for the fruits of the commemorative events that you are all preparing, and I am asking St. Josemaría to pray for all of you who form part, in one way or another, of this initiative that he wanted to promote, moved by his love for God, for the Church, and for souls. Count on his intercession, and on that of Blessed Alvaro and of Don Javier, to carry on with so many projects that benefit the Philippines, Asia, and the whole world.
Our Lord has made use of your dedication and that of many of your brothers and sisters, to bring about great good for so many people, and He will continue doing so by means of the generosity of each man and woman. This conviction is a good incentive for renewing the optimism with which you carry out your work, turning to the Blessed Virgin in the face of any difficulties that may arise. She will do more and do everything sooner and better. Entrust my intentions to her as well.
With my most affectionate blessing,
